Sara Hokin


Director of Operations
FORMERLY: Former Director of Softball and Camp Director

My Dream: For girls everywhere to be able and proud to say they throw like a girl!

• Game On! Sports Camp 4 Girls Assistant Camp Director and Softball Station Head inaugural summer 2007;

• Director of Softball Clinics for Deerfield Youth Baseball & Softball Association, DYBSA (4 yrs)

• Graduated from University of Tampa, May 2006, Bachelors Degree in Sports Management;

• Member of University of Tampa Spartan Varsity softball team 2002 – 2006;

• Member of the USA Women’s Softball team – member of gold medal team, 2005 Maccabiah International Games, Israel;

• Member of USA Women’s Softball team participating in the 2007 Maccabiah Pan American Games in Argentina;

• Past coach of JCC Maccabi Softball Team (2 yrs)

• Girls travel softball coach on the Northshore (4 yrs);

• Softball instructor for girls of all ages, group and private;

• Years of experience as summer camp counselor;

• Community Relations Intern for Chicago RUSH, Arena Football League, 2006

Where can you find Sara when not a the Game On! office?
On the volleyball court, the softball field, coaching girls softball, pushing her limits at the Crossfit gym, cheering on her favorite teams at professional sporting games, traveling or hanging with her family, friends & playing with her sweet puppy nephew Bleu.

Dislikes: Bananas, Distance Running & Boys who think they are better than girls.

Jennifer Ligammari


Director of Ponytails
• I have had a passion for sports, fitness, and nutrition for as long as I can remember

• Grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana where I began playing tennis as soon I could hold a racket

• Awarded MVP in High School

• Achieved 10th in the State of Louisiana for Girls 18 and under

• Received tennis scholarship to attend John Newcomb’s tennis camp in Texas

• Graduated from Louisiana State University in 1998

• Moved to Chicago in 2005 when I married my husband

• Completed Chicago 1/2 Marathon in 2012

• Currently taking Golf lessons

• I also enjoy running, fitness classes, swimming, and bowling

• Have 2 Goddaughters and a niece that keep me very active

• Favorite food: strawberry shortcake & seafood (I cook southern dishes – love those Cajun spices)

Amy Gorzynski

• - Graduated magna cum laude, Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) 2002, bachelors degree in Business Administration;
• - Played varsity basketball and softball for IWU, team captain for basketball team;
• - 2004 earned Masters Degree in Secondary Education from Roosevelt University;
• - Currently teaches in the Business Department at East Leyden High School;
• - Assistant Girls’ Varsity Leyden Basketball coach for the last three years;
• - Adjunct faculty member at Roosevelt University in the College of Education;
• - Extensive experience with summer sports camps including 6 years at Hi-Five Sports Camp, Northfield (coach, station head, and division leader).

Stephanie is joining Game On! to bring the joy she felt during her camp experiences as a child to all our Game On! girls. She hopes to serve as a positive role model and provide the girls with a fantastic camp experience.

Veronika Leszayova

Veronika is a tennis coach and tennis professional. In addition to her tennis prowess, Veronika is fluent in 4 languages. When we asked her what she is most looking forward to this summer, she said, "Sharing my love for tennis with the campers, and Water Wars!!!!"

Lauren Abrams

Lauren's sports involvement strongly impacted her life by providing her with opportunities to bond with her athletic older brothers.

When we asked her what she is most excited about this year at Game On!, she said, "Spending yet another sports crazy summer outdoors and hearing the laughter of young girls having a great time."

Laura Gbur

Laura has been to 17 countries, but her favorite place in the world is her grandma's cottage where she spent her summers growing up.

When we asked Laura what she is most looking forward to this summer, she said, "I'm looking forward to seeing all the campers from last year and meeting a great new group of campers this summer!!"
